The Dapple Designs Expert Says:

Alstroemeria or Peruvian Lily originate from - as the name suggests - South America. They are a tuberous rooted perennial that does very well in Australian conditions. They do so well that in certain areas they can become an invasive weed. But if you keep an eye on this plant, regularly thinning out clumps, then it can be a valuable addition to your garden especially if its a cottage style look.
